From the very beginning, I knew the restaurant had to specialize in grilled meats, largely thanks to my Argentine sister-in-law, who was an expert at barbecues and made the most delicious salads. Everything else came from memories of our family table, where there were always arepas, patacones, ground beef, hogo a traditional Colombian tomato-and-onion sauce and all the other wonderful flavors of our Colombian cuisine.
I truly admire the vegetarians who come to this restaurant. After all, walking into a place where you can smell grilled meat from a kilometer away is nothing short of heroic.
