A carpenter from the neighborhood made the restaurant's very first sign. It was nothing like the one we have today, just a couple of wooden planks with red letters painted on them. Truth be told, in those early days, there was no design concept behind the restaurant whatsoever. Things simply came together as they happened, whatever sprang to mind. We designed the current logo about eight years ago, when it had become clear that the restaurant and I were deeply connected. So I asked my brother-in-law to help with the design. We wanted something handwritten, incorporating the figure of an angel taken from one of Michelangelo's paintings. A belated tribute, you might say, to the Clínica de los Ángeles.
